Whimsy and Stars Snowball Boy

Greetings!  I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and no one was caught on the "naughty list".   We had weather in the 80's the weekend before and on Christmas day.  The grandchildren had a fabulous time playing outdoors.  We are "hunkering" down now for colder weather, but alas no snow in sight anytime soon.  I could not resist making a "snowy" card.  My grandson turned 12 on the 27th and I always make him a masculine themed card for his birthday, so this card serves a dual purpose.

Here is my card for today's post, which can be found in the Whimsy and Stars Studio Shop titled Snowball Boy.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Whimsy and Stars has rubber stamps and digis that will suit your every need.   We would love for you to visit our blog and show us your creations on our Facebook page!

Whimsy and Stars Gingerbread Girl

Greetings!  I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving.  I love being with family and celebrating the blessings of this holiday.   We are definitely barreling towards Christmas now, homes are already decorated with lit trees showing in the windows.  Soon there will be Christmas caroling and the aroma of baking filling the house.

Today I'd like to share my Gingerbread Girl with you, which can be found in the Whimsy and Stars Studio Shop titled "Gingerbread Boy".  Silly me, I had already decided on a color theme of pink and green and colored the icing pink before I realized "she" should have been a "he"!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I appreciate all your comments and support.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Crafter's of Faith September Blog Hop

On the last day of every month, my blogging group take turns hosting a challenge.  This gives us a chance to flex our crafty fingers and interact with all our friends on Crafter's of Faith.

This month's challenge is "anything goes" with a scripture of our choice.  I chose Psalm 91:1.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the most High will rest in the Shadow of the Almighty.

I live only about 45 minutes from the Outer Banks and was just thinking about "hurricane season" and how we have been so blessed this year.  This verse has always brought me such comfort and peace.

I used an Art Impressions stamp colored with Prismacolor pencils and a Darice embossing folder.  I also used Spellbinders dies to cut out my image and corresponding background.

Thanks for visiting my blog today I appreciate your comments and support!  My sister's blogs are listed on my sidebar, please take a moment and give them a look and some love!

Back to School!

I can't believe summer is "almost" over!  When the yellow school buses start coming by my house early in the morning, I feel like it's a brand new season.  I fell in love with this digi by Mabelle, "Back to School".
I just love the huge pencil and the happy look on that adorable face!  I have one grandchild in kindergarten this year who was "bustin" at the seams to get started and then older grandchildren who were dreading the start of another school year.

Crafters of Faith August Blog Hop

Well, sadly summer is officially over after today, it just seemed like it went by way too fast this year!   I have had a fabulous week at Pawley's Island in South Carolina and leaving for home in a few hours.  The weather was perfect and the ocean was just delicious.  The best part was spending time with my daughter, SIL and grandchildren.  This was the perfect way to say adieu to summer.

For this month's challenge, Kelly asked us to create a card honoring our mom or dad.  Her inspiration came from Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you."  My dad is still alive so I am honoring him today with a card I created based on his love for farming.

The background is from a Create with TLC image and the tractor is from a JPEG image I had in my files.  I don't believe my dad ever drove a tractor that old, but he did not have a canopy or luxuries of today's models.  I loved to ride up and down the rows with him whenever I got the chance.

Please take a moment  and visit my blogging sister's blogs and see their creations.  They are listed on my sidebar.  Wishing everyone a blessed day and a happy and safe Labor Day!
