Competing Princesses

This makes two posts for me today!  I belong to a blogging group on SCS called the "Paper Princesses".  We have a competition today to make a masculine card and display it on our blog with a card kit we received earlier.  My card for today's competition is with Stampin' Up's "Noble Deer".  The card stock is from Canson and the DP is from Cosmo Cricket's "Travelin Man".   The SU ribbon and True Thyme oval are the two embellishments.
I colored my deer primarily with Prismacolor pencils and OMS, with a touch of Copic markers.

Critter Sketch Challenge #54

Monday's are exciting because that's when we have our Critter Sketch Challenge!  This week's challenge is to create a card using a sentiment.

I chose a sentiment, actually a scripture from Our Daily Bread Designs's "Scripture 1 Collection".   My design paper is from Basic Grey's Kioshi collection, and the gingham panel from my stash.  And what could be anymore beautiful than the transformation of a butterfly?  I just had to add those to my card along with some Cuttlebug die cut corners and a satin ribbon.

Please join our challenge on the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog this week, we would love to see your entry!  Our sponsor for this month is:

Thinking of You

Good morning, it is a beautiful sunny morning in the Carolina's!  Last week we had snow and Friday we may have temperatures in the 70's!  Now I'm thinking Spring!  Maybe that's why I made this "Thinking of You" card with a beautiful blue bird:

I used this verse from Psalm 150:6 inside my card:

I have actually stamped an image from Stampin' Up's "Wings of Friendship".  I thought this would make a great "Thinking of You" card.   A friend asked me to make some cards for her and this is just one of the set I'm making for her.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #91

It's Tuesday and that means a brand new Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge!    I'd like to show you my second creation for this week's challenge representing the MMSC Design Team, and then move on to the details:
This fabulous image is from our monthly sponsor Paper Pretties and is called "Basket of Apples".  I chose this "Americana" looking design paper from Webster's Pages.  It just seemed the perfect background for the apples and worked well with the sketch design.  I used my Prismacolor pencils for the majority of my coloring and just a few Copic markers.
Here is the sketch for this week's challenge:

Happy Valentine's Day!  Today I have a card for this week's Critter Sketch Challenge following the sketch created by April:
Love Bear

I just fell in love with this bear from Robyn's Fetish, who is our sponsor for the month of February.  I just know he has a big box of chocolates for his sweetie!  I colored my bear with Copics and used design paper from Bo Bunny's "Crush" collection.  I embossed my red panel and then sponged with Su Whisper White craft ink.  My hearts were all cut with Martha Stewart punches.  My sentiment is from Sugar Creek Hollow.

Please take the challenge with us on the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog this week, we would love to see your entry!  Please visit the rest of the team's blogs to see their fabulous cards this week and leave them some love!

Butterfly

I just had to share a card I created with one of my new dies.  My butterfly was made with a Marianne die, I love the lacey look of this butterfly!
I added pearl dew drops and adhered my butterfly to a Hearftelt/Spellbinder's window die.  My design paper is from S.E.I.  My flower is a combo from Tim Holz tattered florals and Nellie Snellen.  The inside of my card has the same sentiment as my card from yesterday, "You make my heart flutter".

Butterfly Blossoms

I'd like to share another Valentine card I created with this beautiful digi from Paper Pretties.  This is "Butterfly Blossoms".  I actually created a CAS card!  My design paper is from Bo Bunny "Crazy Love" collection and I colored with my Copic markers.   I used Shimmerz  on the wings, although it doesn't show up so well in my photo.
and here is the inside
Don' you just love this sentiment?  This is from Birds Cards and is just perfect for my butterfly card!  I used a Martha Stewart punch for my border and Spellbinder's Fancy Tags die for my sentiment.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day, it's snowing here in the Carolinas!
