Happy Birthday Dear Friend

I wanted to share a birthday card I made this weekend for a very dear friend of mine. I used Rachelle Anne Miller's "Lola's Tea Party"- I think this is such a cute birthday image! My design paper is from DCWV's Nana's Kids and my card stock is from Stamping Up. I used Spellbinder's "In Spades" pendant die to showcase my image. I find it very hard to throw away any scraps so the corner embellishments are leftovers from my pendant cutout.
A satin bow, tied with the Bow Easy completes my card.
Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday Christine!

I don't have a new card to post yet, but I did want to let you in on some terrific blog candy at Christine's "Change of Heart" blog. For her birthday, she is giving away a $25 gift certificate from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. Please stop by and wish her a "Happy Birthday"!

Patrick in the Pumpkins

This is just the cutest digital image from Mo Manning! If you like coloring pumpkins, this one's for you. I could not keep myself from adding Halloween colors to this, also the drippy goo punch border. My design paper is from Recollections, as well as the "dots". The ribbon was from my "stash". I actually colored this with my Prismacolors, with the exception of Patrick's face where I used my Copics.
I would love to read your comments!

Happy Fall

I have another Lockhart image I want to share with you today called "Harvest Window". I used various EK Success punches and colored with my Copics. I used Stemma "Jacks and Lanterns" as my background design paper and Recollections Autumn to frame my window. The cardstock is by Canson.
I also decorated the inside with design paper from Recollections.
It's beginning to feel "fallish" even in the south, especially with 60 degree temperatures this morning. I hope you will leave me a comment!

Cupcakes in the Window

I am so thrilled with Karen Lockhart's window stamps! This was just so much fun to work with. There are so many design possibilities. I used Basic Grey's Wisteria design paper and my EK Success edge punches to punch out the valence and the fence. I embossed the fence with Cuttlebug's distressed stripes embossing folder to obtain a woodgrain look.
I also decorated the inside of my card with the Wisteria design paper and cut the decorative edges with a Cuttlebug die.
Here is another variation of the same design, only with different colors:
The coloring was done with my Copics. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful Friend

As promised (two day ago!, oops!) here is the card I made for my dear friend who is moving. The stamp and sentiment is from Gina K. designs. I colored with my Copics and used Spellbinders Renaissance Hearts pendant die to frame my image.
I cut the oval with a Nestability die and used an EK Success punch for the leaves.
Thanks for looking!

A Special Gift

I also wanted to post today and show you a special gift I made. This was for a dear friend, a senior lady in my church. Today was her last day in church since she will be moving to a retirement center about three hours away. She was a great inspiration and will be greatly missed.
I used a Basic Grey design paper for my background. The "medallions" were made from the Spellbinders Renaissance Heart Pendant. I added pearl Dewdrops, Prima flowers, and other flowers from my stash. The Lord's Prayer is from Our Daily Bread designs. Below is a close up of the design.
I'll be posting the card I made for her tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Halloween Kitty

This is another Mo Manning digital image, Bat Cat! He is so cool. I colored with my copics and used a cuttlebug die and embossing folder. The design paper is from K & Company and my stash. My cardstock is from Stampin Up.
This was such fun to color! I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Nurse Doraline

Anyone need a nurse? This is another cute image from Motivet stamps. This is perfect for a get well card. I rustled around all my design paper to find colors that would work. At first I could not find anything I liked so I decided to sleep on it. The next morning everything seemed to flow and I chose red and olive colors from DCWV and SU old olive.
I have a friend who broke her knee-cap and this card has her name on it!

Jingle Bells

Don't ' ya just love this image from Mo's Digital Pencil? This is the same as my title today, "Jingle Bells". I used my Copics to color and my design paper is from Papertrey Ink. I used an EK Success punch for my large scallops and my Xyron for the sentiment.
I decorated the inside of my card with the same design paper and used my MS snowflake punch and another smaller one in my punch drawer.
Is it ever too soon to start Christmas? This is my favorite holiday!

With Sympathy

This is a digital image I found (on Split Coast Stampers, I think!). My apologies to the artist for not writing down your name.
Dear friends of mine lost their mother/mother-in-law last week - she was in her nineties and had a very blessed life.
I love this verse of scripture, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." - Psalm 116:15. This is a very beloved verse for a lot of the seniors in our church.
I colored the hydrangea with my copics and used a Spellbinders and a Sizzix die. I followed Suzanne Dean's tutorial for the "Bow-Easy" to tie my bow - "thank you Suzanne!"

Happy Birthday!

This is a late birthday card I completed today and it will go out in the mail Tuesday. Better late than never, right? I just had to use this cutie from Mo Manning, "End of Summer". I just love the instant gratification of using digi's!
I used Basic Grey's lemondade series for my design paper and colored with Copics. I kept the embellies to a minimum this time. I'll be posting some more digi's later!

Hot New Stamps!

I'm sure most everyone has seen these little dar'lins, but just in case you haven't, Motivet debuted these fabulous little squirrels in April 2009. It was love at first sight! My good friend Peggie told me about these - as if I need any help acquiring new stamps, LOL!
This little cutie is "Doraline with birthday cake". I had so much fun coloring her with my Copics and adding all the embellishments. I used DCWV "Blossoms and Butterflies" design paper and Stampin Up cardstock.
I certainly did not discriminate using punches to create the inside of my card! I used EK Success, Martha Stewart and Cuttlebug (die-cut).
I can't wait to ink up my Dexter's and another Doraline - stay tuned!
