It's About Time I Posted!

Hi Everyone! I've been caught up in a whirlwind lately. Summer time has fully descended on our household, which means lots of outdoor work and wonderful hours with the grandchildren in and out of our pool. Taylor, my eight-year old granddaughter is playing softball and "Gramie" has been going to all the games. I am trying to spend less time on my computer and more time enjoying all the blessings around me. Never fear! I am still making cards and loving every minute I spend in my craft room. I finally removed oodles of ancient VHS exercise videos from our office/craft room and I am now repopulating that area with my wooden stamps. I also purchased a vertical paper rack so I can organize my card stock and patterned paper. DH installed a rod which now displays "most" of my ribbon - I'm on a roll! Sorry I've missed so many of your blogs! My daughter, son-in-law and four grandchildren will be arriving Sunday to spend a week with us. I'm not sure how much I can post then or how active I can be on the computer. I have "Bookworm" installed and they all fight over using my computer. I do have a card to show you (drum roll.....). My choir asked me to make a get well card and of course I said "yes"! I chose the Flourished Christian Symbols set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I stamped the cross on with Versamark and then embossed in gold. The DP and card stock are from PTI: I did not take a photo of the inside, but I used my Xyron Design Runner and printed "Get Well Soon". This is such a neat item for creating sentiments and you can also change the size of the font. I hope everyone is having a great summer! I'll be stopping by your blogs!

More Father's Day!

I'd like to share another Father's Day card I made, June 21st is just around the corner! I used Gina K.'s set, Guiding Light, nestabilities, Martha Stewart fence punch, Copics, chalk and SU chocolate chip:
I was drawn to this set when I read the special sentiment and I love the nautical appeal. I kept the design simple and "manly"! Let me know what you think!

Peeking Posies

This is such a fun stamp set! As you've already probably guessed from the title, it is "Peeking Posies" from Hero Arts. I saw these on Becca Feeken's blog, Amazing Paper Grace and just had to case these. I cut out different shapes with my nesties to embellish and also highlight the posies. I made my sentiments with my Xyron Design Runner which is quickly becoming one of my favorite tools! I used Basic Grey and DCWV as my DP. All the posies were colored with my Copics. Please take a "peek"!

Bunny Cruise and Father's Day Card

Hi everyone! My postings are still on the "scimpy" side so I've included two new cards today. The first one is for my friend and previous manager at Curves. She and her family are moving to Guam and she will be greatly missed! I chose a Happy Hopper, "Bunny Cruise" for her card. This is just perfect and all the House Mouse stamps are just made for Prismas. I added my sentiments with the Xyron Design Runner (it's so great not to have to hunt for the right one in my stash!). I used Basic Grey design paper and added the "flip-flops" from a Gina K. set. Father's Day is Almost Here! I've also been busy designing a few Father's Day cards. I inked up a set I purchased from The Angel Company, "Artsy Owls". I thought the dressed up owl would be perfect! I actually used my "nesties" to cut my circle and scalloped border. The paper is from Doodlebug Designs, called "nature walk". The sentiment was created with my Xyron Design Runner/Designer Label and was cut with a nestie. The ribbon was in my stash. The sentiment here is from the Artsy Owl stamp set as well as the owl. The border was punched with my Martha Stewart fence punch. I hope you've enjoyed viewing my blog and my cards. Please leave me a comment if you like them!
