TAC Saturday

Happy Holiday Weekend! My treat for this weekend is to stay home on Saturday - rest, stamp and play! I can't believe it is already Labor Day, I haven't even been to the beach this summer and it only 45 minutes away, LOL!
I did create three new TAC cards, I just had too much help during the week to post them (3 grandchildren = 6 busy hands!). My first card shown is "What's Moo?" This was so much fun to color and put together - I just love the TAC Rustic Chic paper used for this.
My second and third cards are from the set "All Things of Nature". These are some of the most beautiful birds stamps I have ever inked!

Some Newly Inked Sets

I finally made some time last night to do some rubber stamping - this is such good therapy for jangled nerves! I have been ignoring my little Magnolia angels, so I inked up a couple of new stamps I had not had a chance to use. I had a lot of fun with the swimsuit Tilda, customizing a pier for her to sit on. The other Tilda/Tingla is holding a baby and is so precious. I then cut out my new set of Bitty Bugs and created a card to showcase this set.
This past Friday and Saturday included scrapbooking with friends at our church. Some of my friends brought their rubber stamping to work on. I worked on a scrapbook album Friday and spent time Saturday coloring images I had stamped. A friend was creating the most beautiful tiles with a stamped picture of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse. This is on a list of my "to do" projects now! I did all this with three grandchildren in tow!
Well I'm off now to work (play) outside and enjoy the little bit of August we still have left. School started today in our community - I can't believe Summer is almost gone!

Gerbera Daisy

It was a chilly 67 degrees when I looked at the thermometer - where has summer gone? The weather has felt like fall lately. I remember North Carolina being in the sweltering 90's to 100's in August. I guess that is why I have been thinking about stamping fall themes lately. This is perfect weather to work outdoors, but too chilly for the pool. I plan to attend a scrapbooking get together today at my church. We get together once a month for fellowship and scrapbooking. I was introduced to rubber stamping by my scrapbooking buddies. I did want to post a card I made from a new TAC set, "Gerbera Daisy". I love the detail in this stamp and colored this with my copic markers. Happy Friday everyone!

Fall Tilda

I can't believe I have not posted to my blog lately! I took time today to ink up an image I've had in mind for a while. The nights here have been cool lately and the days hot. This has reminded me of the upcoming Fall. Of course, there is a card theme here!

Whew!

Where has the time gone lately? I have been enjoying my grandchildren visiting, but now I remember why I never seemed to get very much accomplished when my own children were little! I did find time to ink up two of my new TAC stamp sets. I stayed up a little later last night (after everyone went to bed) and was able to collect my thoughts enough to create these. The first card is "Seeds of Blessing" and the second card is "Christmas Minis". These are both listed in the new fall/winter 2008 catalog.

New Grandbaby!

I'm proud to announce the birth of my new grandson, Joshua Joseph Taliaferro, August, 7 at 1:43 p.m. I made the drive from my home to Arlington Hospital in 4 hours, and had plenty of time before Joshua was born to visit with mom and dad. He weighed a "comfortable" 7 lbs. 14 oz. and all are doing just fine.

Ice Cream

Well, what could be better on a hot, steamy day? I love this little girl from the TAC collection!
I feel in limbo today, I am on grandbaby alert! My daughter was due yesterday but the little fella has other ideas. His youngest sister keeps talking to her mother's tummy and asking him to come out and play (she's 2). My bags are packed and everytime the phone rings I think "this is it!". It will take me 4 hours to make the drive on a good day. But, it is all in God's timing.

Wild West

As a new TAC demo, it just did not seem right that I did not have a card on my blog created with Tac stamps. This is one of my favorite stamps, and I just received the paper I wanted to use with this today.
And most important! I want to thank Joani McDonald who has inspired me to become a TAC demo and coached me in setting up my very first blog. Big Hugs!!!

Mad About Magnolias

I am completely infatuated with Magnolias! Are they not adorable or what? They just remind me so much of my grandchildren (sometimes though, the wings might change into something else)!
